Worship lies at the very heart of the Episcopal Church, for it is in the ongoing offering of prayer, hearing of Scripture, singing of praise and celebrating of the Sacraments that we find our identity as a Church. There is an old saying that, “praying shapes believing”.To know what the Episcopal Church believes and is, one simply needs to worship with us.
Here at St. Paul’s we seek to worship in the best of the Episcopal/Anglican tradition. Our worship – our liturgy – is something that all of us offer; a joyful, engaging, participatory giving of prayer and praise to God.We draw on the riches of our tradition in music, vestments, and ceremony while being open to newly developed worship texts and world music.
Our regular occasions of worship begin with the Holy Eucharist– the Mass, the Lord’s Supper. The Eucharist is celebrated on Sundays at 8:00 am and 10:30 am.We also celebrate the Eucharist on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, and on Holy Days as announced.
Morning Prayer, a daily service of psalms, prayers and Scripture readings, is offered Monday through Thursday at 9:00 am.
More occasionally, we celebrate services of Evensong, Taizé Prayer and Advent Lessons & Carols. You can find out more about those services at the Music section of this website.
