The Middle School Program will use the Episcopal Curriculum for Youth. It is a program designed at the Virginia Theological Seminary. The program honors the gifts of youth, the distinctiveness of adolescence, while recognizing that being Christian in an increasingly diverse and secular society is often counter-cultural and incredibly difficult for youth who simply want to fit in. The program covers a variety of topics beginning with our tools for worship: the Book of Common Prayer, the Hymnal, the Lectionary. They will spend time talking about the sacraments of the Church and the Saints of the Church the earliest apostles and 20th century models of Christian living. The class meets in the St. Phillip Room located in the office wing. The formation leaders are Judy Gugel and Susan Monteiro.
