The Rev’d William Locke has been the Rector of St. Paul’s since January of 2002.A native of Pennsylvania, Fr. Locke has lived in New England since 1975, moving to Rhode Island in 1990.He studied at the University of Illinois, and is a graduate of UMass-Boston (B.A. in Sociology) and the Episcopal Divinity School (M.Div.).He was ordained to the diaconate and the priesthood by the Rt. Rev'd George Hunt, XI Bishop of Rhode Island, and served as Rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Pawtucket before coming to St. Paul's. He has been an Associate of the Society of Saint Margaret for over thirty years, and is a member of the Society of Catholic Priests. Fr. Locke is married to Ethel Locke, and they have two daughters, Emma and Abigail.
Patrick A. Campbell has been Director of Music at St. Paul’s Church since October, 2002.Prior to to St. Paul’s, he served parishes in MA and CT before accepting a call to the Church of the Messiah, Providence in 1993 and Emmanuel Church, Newport in 2000.Born in Southbridge, MA, he began organ and piano studies at age 12, and has also studied with Virginia Herrmann and Christa Rakich.Reflecting his passion for music and liturgy, he earned an undergraduate degree in music from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Divinity from the Episcopal Divinity School.In addition to parish work, he served on the Diocese of RI Liturgy and Music Commission and holds membership in several national professional organizations.
Deacon Betsy Lesieur is a native of Rhode Island and comes from a long line of Episcopal clergy. She studied and trained for the permanent diaconate at the Deacons' School of the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island and was ordained by the Rt. Rev'd George Hunt in 1985. Betsy has served in several parishes in Rhode Island, including a time as Archdeacon. She was assigned to St. Paul's in 2002. Her secular work has included being a chaplain and Certified Resident Services Coordinator in nursing homes, as well as a bus driver and security guard. She currently works as the grief counselor at Bellows-Falso Funeral Chapel. Deacon Betsy has two children, Sandra Balay and Andrew. contact Deacon Betsy
